KNV   ಪರಿಹಾಸ್ಯಗಾರರನ್ನು ಹೊಡೆದರೆ ಮೂಢರು ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳುವರು; ವಿವೇಕಿಯನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸಿ ದರೆ ಅವನು ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುವನು.

HOV   ठट्ठा करने वाले को मार, इस से भोला मनुष्य समझदार हो जाएगा; और समझ वाले को डांट, तब वह अधिक ज्ञान पाएगा।
MRV   जर एखादा माणूस स्वत:ला इतरांपेक्षा चांगला समजत असेल तर त्याला शिक्षा करायला पाहिजे. नंतर मूर्ख धडा शिकतील. शहाण्या माणसावर टीका केली तर तो शिकतो.
GUV   તિરસ્કાર કરનાર વ્યકિતને દંડો ફટકારો જેથી સરળ લોકો પાઠ ભણે, જો તમે ડાહી વ્યકિતને ઠપકો આપશો તો તે જ્ઞાન મેળવશે.
