Malachi 4:1 (NIRV) New International Reader's Version

1 "You can be sure the day of the Lord is coming. My anger will burn like a furnace. All those who are proud will be like straw. So will all those who do what is evil. The day that is coming will set them on fire," says the Lord who rules over all. "Not even a root or a branch will be left to them.
2 "But here is what will happen for you who have respect for me. The sun that brings life will rise. Its rays will bring healing to my people. You will go out and leap like calves that have just been let out of the barn.
3 "Then you will stomp on sinful people. They will be like ashes under your feet. That will happen on the day I act," says the Lord.
4 "Remember the law my servant Moses gave you. Remember the rules and laws I gave him at Mount Horeb. They were for the whole nation of Israel.
5 "I will send you the prophet Elijah. He will come before the day of the Lord arrives. It will be a great and terrifying day.
6 Elijah will teach parents how to love their children. He will also teach children how to honor their parents. If that does not happen, I will come. And I will put a curse on the land."

4 Remember H2142 ye the law H8451 CFS of Moses H4872 my servant H5650 CMS-1MS , which H834 I commanded unto H6680 him in Horeb H2722 for H5921 PREP all H3605 Israel H3478 , with the statutes H2706 and judgments H4941 .
5 Behold H2009 , I H595 PPRO-1MS will send H7971 you Elijah H452 the prophet H5030 before H6440 the coming H935 VQFC of the great H1419 D-AMS and dreadful H3372 day H3117 NMS of the LORD H3068 EDS :
6 And he shall turn H7725 the heart H3820 of the fathers H1 to H5921 PREP the children H1121 NMP , and the heart H3820 W-CMS of the children H1121 NMP to H5921 PREP their fathers H1 CMP-3MP , lest H6435 I come H935 VQI1MS and smite H5221 the earth H776 D-GFS with a curse H2764 .
