Psalms 64:1 (NIRV) New International Reader's Version

1 For the director of music. A psalm of David. God, hear me as I tell you my problem. Don't let my enemies kill me.
2 Hide me from those who make evil plans against me. Hide me from that crowd of people who are doing evil.
3 They make their tongues like sharp swords. They aim their words like deadly arrows.
4 They shoot from their hiding places at people who aren't guilty of doing anything wrong. They shoot quickly. They aren't afraid of being caught.
5 They help each other make evil plans. They talk about hiding their traps. They say, "Who can see what we are doing?"
6 They make plans to do what is evil. They say, "We have thought up a perfect plan!" The hearts and minds of people are so clever!
7 But God will shoot my enemies with his arrows. He will suddenly strike them down.
8 He will turn their own words against them. He will destroy them. All those who see them will shake their heads and look down on them.
9 Everyone will respect God. They will tell about his works. They will think about what he has done.
10 Let godly people be full of joy because of what the Lord has done. Let them go to him for safety. Let all those whose hearts are honest praise him.

2 Hide H5641 VHY2MS-1MS me from the secret counsel H5475 of the wicked H7489 ; from the insurrection H7285 of the workers H6466 VQCMP of iniquity H205 NMS :
3 Who H834 RPRO whet H8150 their tongue H3956 like a sword H2719 , and bend H1869 VQQ3MP their bows to shoot their arrows H2671 , even bitter H4751 words H1697 VQPMS :
4 That they may shoot H3384 in secret H4565 at the perfect H8535 AMS : suddenly H6597 ADV do they shoot H3384 at him , and fear H3372 not H3808 W-NPAR .
5 They encourage H2388 themselves in an evil H7451 AMS matter H1697 VQPMS : they commune H5608 of laying snares privily H2934 L-VQFC ; they say H559 VQQ3MP , Who H4310 IPRO shall see H7200 VQY3MS them ?
6 They search out H2664 iniquities H5766 ; they accomplish H8552 a diligent search H2665 : both the inward H7130 thought of every one H376 NMS of them , and the heart H3820 W-CMS , is deep H6013 .
7 But God H430 EDP shall shoot H3384 at them with an arrow H2671 ; suddenly H6597 shall they be H1961 VQQ3MP wounded H4347 .
8 So they shall make their own tongue H3956 to fall H3782 upon H5921 PREP-3MP themselves : all H3605 NMS that see H7200 them shall flee away H5074 .
9 And all H3605 NMS men H120 NMS shall fear H3372 W-VQY3MP , and shall declare H5046 the work H6467 of God H430 EDP ; for they shall wisely consider H7919 VHQ3MP of his doing H4639 .
10 The righteous H6662 AMS shall be glad H8055 in the LORD H3068 , and shall trust H2620 in him ; and all H3605 NMS the upright H3477 in heart H3820 NMS shall glory H1984 .
