Genesis 20:1 (IRVTA) Indian Revised Version - Tamil

1 {ஆபிரகாமும் அபிமெலேக்கும்} PS ஆபிரகாம் அந்த இடத்தைவிட்டு, தென்தேசத்திற்குப் பயணம் செய்து, காதேசுக்கும் சூருக்கும் நடுவாகக் குடியேறி, கேராரிலே தங்கினான்.
2 அங்கே ஆபிரகாம் தன் மனைவியாகிய சாராளைத் “தன் சகோதரி” என்று சொன்னதால், கேராரின் ராஜாவாகிய அபிமெலேக்கு ஆள் அனுப்பி சாராளை வரவழைத்தான்.
3 தேவன் இரவிலே அபிமெலேக்குக்குக் கனவிலே தோன்றி: “நீ வரவழைத்த பெண்ணால் நீ செத்தாய்; அவள் ஒருவனுடைய மனைவியாக இருக்கிறாளே” என்றார்.
4 அபிமெலேக்கு அவளுடன் இணையாதிருந்தான். ஆகையால் அவன்: “ஆண்டவரே, நீதியுள்ள மக்களை அழிப்பீரோ?
5 இவள் தன் சகோதரி” என்று அவன் என்னிடம் சொல்லவில்லையா? அவன் தன் சகோதரன் என்று இவளும் சொன்னாளே; உத்தம இருதயத்தோடும் சுத்தமான கைகளோடும் இதைச் செய்தேன் என்று சொன்னான்.
6 அப்பொழுது தேவன்: “உத்தம இருதயத்தோடு நீ இதைச் செய்தாய் என்று நான் அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; நீ எனக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம் செய்யாமலிருக்க உன்னைத் தடுத்தேன்; ஆகையால், நீ அவளைத் தொட நான் உனக்கு இடங்கொடுக்கவில்லை.
7 அந்த மனிதனுடைய மனைவியை அவனிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பிவிடு; அவன் ஒரு தீர்க்கதரிசி; நீ பிழைப்பதற்கு அவன் உனக்காக வேண்டுதல் செய்வான்; நீ அவளை அனுப்பிவிடாதிருந்தால், நீயும் உன்னைச் சார்ந்த அனைவரும் சாகவே சாவீர்கள் என்று அறிந்துகொள்” என்று கனவிலே அவனுக்குச் சொன்னார்.
8 அபிமெலேக்கு அதிகாலையில் எழுந்து, தன் வேலைக்காரரையெல்லாம் வரவழைத்து, இந்தச் செய்திகளையெல்லாம் அவர்கள் கேட்கும்படி சொன்னான்; அந்த மனிதர் மிகவும் பயந்தார்கள்.
9 அப்பொழுது அபிமெலேக்கு ஆபிரகாமை வரவழைத்து: “நீ எங்களுக்கு என்ன காரியம் செய்தாய், நீ என்மேலும், என்னுடைய ராஜ்ஜியத்தின்மேலும் பெரும்பாவம் சுமரச் செய்வதற்கு உனக்கு நான் என்ன குற்றம் செய்தேன்? செய்யத்தகாத காரியங்களை என்னிடத்தில் செய்தாயே என்றான்.
10 பின்னும் அபிமெலேக்கு ஆபிரகாமை நோக்கி: “எதைக் கண்டு நீ இந்தக் காரியத்தைச் செய்தாய்” என்றான்.
11 அதற்கு ஆபிரகாம்: “இந்த இடத்தில் தெய்வபயம் இல்லையென்றும், என் மனைவியின்பொருட்டு என்னைக் கொன்றுபோடுவார்கள் என்றும் நான் நினைத்தேன்.
12 அவள் என்னுடைய சகோதரி என்பதும் உண்மைதான்; அவள் என் தகப்பனுக்கு மகள், என் தாய்க்கு மகளல்ல; அவள் எனக்கு மனைவியானாள்.
13 என் தகப்பன் வீட்டைவிட்டு தேவன் என்னைத் நாடோடியாகத் திரியச்செய்தபோது, நான் அவளை நோக்கி: நாம் போகும் இடமெங்கும், நீ என்னைச் சகோதரன் என்று சொல்வது நீ எனக்குச் செய்யவேண்டிய தயை என்று அவளிடத்தில் சொல்லியிருந்தேன்” என்றான்.
14 அப்பொழுது அபிமெலேக்கு ஆடுமாடுகளையும், வேலைக்காரரையும், வேலைக்காரிகளையும் ஆபிரகாமுக்குக் கொடுத்து, அவனுடைய மனைவியாகிய சாராளையும் அவனிடத்தில் திரும்ப ஒப்புவித்தான்.
15 பின்னும் அபிமெலேக்கு: இதோ, “என் தேசம் உனக்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது; உன் பார்வைக்கு விருப்பமான இடத்தில் குடியிரு” என்று சொன்னான்.
16 பின்பு சாராளை நோக்கி: “உன் சகோதரனுக்கு ஆயிரம் வெள்ளிக்காசு கொடுத்தேன்; இதோ, உன்னோடிருக்கிற எல்லோருக்கும் முன்பாகவும், மற்ற அனைவருக்கும் முன்பாகவும், இது உன் முகத்தின் முக்காட்டுக்காக” என்றான்; இப்படி அவள் கடிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டாள்.
17 ஆபிரகாமுடைய மனைவியாகிய சாராளுக்காக யெகோவா அபிமெலேக்குடைய வீட்டாரின் கர்ப்பங்களையெல்லாம் அடைத்திருந்ததால்,
18 ஆபிரகாம் தேவனை நோக்கி வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்; அப்பொழுது தேவன் அபிமெலேக்கையும், அவனுடைய மனைவியையும், வேலைக்காரிகளையும் குணமாக்கி, குழந்தைபெறும்படி தயவு செய்தார். PE

2 And Abraham H85 said H559 W-VQY3MS of H413 PREP Sarah H8283 his wife H802 CFS-3MS , She H1931 PPRO-3FS is my sister H269 CFS-1MS : and Abimelech H40 king H4428 NMS of Gerar H1642 sent H7971 W-VQY3MS , and took H3947 W-VQY3MS Sarah H8283 .
3 But God H430 EDP came H935 W-VQY3MS to H413 PREP Abimelech H40 in a dream H2472 BD-NMS by night H3915 AMS , and said H559 W-VQY3MS to him , Behold H2009 , thou art but a dead man H4191 , for H5921 PREP the woman H802 D-NFS which H834 RPRO thou hast taken H3947 ; for she H1931 is a man H1167 \'s wife H1166 .
4 But Abimelech H40 had not H3808 NADV come near H7126 her : and he said H559 W-VQY3MS , Lord H136 EDS , wilt thou slay H2026 also H1571 CONJ a righteous H6662 AMS nation H1471 ?
5 Said H559 he H1931 PPRO-3MS not H3808 I-NADV unto me , She H1931 PPRO-3FS is my sister H269 CFS-1MS ? and she H1931 , even H1571 CONJ she herself H1931 PPRO-3FS said H559 , He H1931 PPRO-3MS is my brother H251 : in the integrity H8537 of my heart H3824 CMS-1MS and innocency H5356 of my hands H3709 have I done H6213 VQQ1MS this H2063 .
6 And God H430 D-NAME-4MS said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-3MS him in a dream H2472 , Yea H1571 CONJ , I H595 PPRO-1MS know H3045 VQY1MS that H3588 CONJ thou didst H6213 VQQ2MS this H2063 DPRO-3FS in the integrity H8537 of thy heart H3824 ; for I H595 PPRO-1MS also H1571 CONJ withheld H2820 thee from sinning H2398 against me : therefore H3651 ADV suffered H5414 I thee not H3808 NADV to touch H5060 her .
7 Now H6258 W-ADV therefore restore H7725 VHFA the man H376 D-NMS his wife H802 CFS ; for H3588 CONJ he H1931 PPRO-3MS is a prophet H5030 , and he shall pray H6419 for H1157 thee , and thou shalt live H2421 : and if H518 W-PART thou restore H7725 VHPMS her not H369 , know H3045 thou that H3588 CONJ thou shalt surely die H4191 VQFA , thou H859 PPRO-2MS , and all H3605 W-CMS that H834 RPRO are thine .
8 Therefore Abimelech H40 rose early H7925 in the morning H1242 B-NMS , and called H7121 W-VQY3MS all H3605 NMS his servants H5650 , and told H1696 W-VPY3MS all H3605 NMS these H428 D-DPRO-3MP things H1697 AMP in their ears H241 : and the men H376 D-NMP were sore afraid H3372 W-VQY3MP .
9 Then Abimelech H40 called H7121 W-VQY3MS Abraham H85 , and said H559 W-VQY3MS unto him , What H4100 hast thou done H6213 VQQ2MS unto us ? and what H4100 have I offended H2398 VQQ1MS thee , that H3588 CONJ thou hast brought H935 on H5921 PREP-1MS me and on H5921 W-PREP my kingdom H4467 a great H1419 sin H2401 ? thou hast done H6213 deeds H4639 unto H5973 me that H834 RPRO ought not H3808 NADV to be done H6213 VQQ2MS .
10 And Abimelech H40 said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP Abraham H85 , What H4100 IGAT sawest H7200 VQQ2MS thou , that H3588 CONJ thou hast done H6213 VQQ2MS this H2088 D-PMS thing H1697 D-NMS ?
11 And Abraham H85 said H559 W-VQY3MS , Because H3588 CONJ I thought H559 W-VQY3MS , Surely H7535 ADV the fear H3374 CFS of God H430 EDP is not H369 NPAR in this H2088 D-PMS place H4725 ; and they will slay H2026 me for H5921 PREP my wife H802 \'s sake H1697 CMS .
12 And yet H1571 W-CONJ indeed H546 she is my sister H269 CFS-1MS ; she H1931 PPRO-3FS is the daughter H1323 of my father H1 CMS-1MS , but H389 ADV not H3808 NADV the daughter H1323 of my mother H517 CFS-1MS ; and she became H1961 W-VQY3FS my wife H802 .
13 And it came to pass H1961 W-VQY3MS , when H834 RPRO God H430 EDP caused me to wander H8582 from my father\'s house H1004 , that I said H559 W-VQY1MS unto her , This H2088 DPRO is thy kindness H2617 which H834 RPRO thou shalt show H6213 unto H5973 me ; at H413 PREP every H3605 NMS place H4725 D-NMS whither H834 RPRO we shall come H935 VNQ3MS , say H559 VQI2FS of me , He H1931 PPRO-3MS is my brother H251 .
14 And Abimelech H40 took H3947 W-VQY3MS sheep H6629 NMS , and oxen H1241 W-NMS , and menservants H5650 W-NMP , and womenservants H8198 W-NFP , and gave H5414 W-VQQ3MS them unto Abraham H85 , and restored H7725 W-VHY3MS him Sarah H8283 his wife H802 .
15 And Abimelech H40 said H559 W-VQY3MS , Behold H2009 IJEC , my land H776 is before H6440 L-CMP-2MS thee : dwell H3427 where it pleaseth H2896 BD-NMS thee .
16 And unto Sarah H8283 he said H559 VQQ3MS , Behold H2009 IJEC , I have given H5414 VQQ1MS thy brother H251 a thousand H505 W-BMS pieces of silver H3701 NMS : behold H2009 IJEC , he H1931 PPRO-3MS is to thee a covering H3682 NFS of the eyes H5869 NMD , unto all H3605 NMS that H834 RPRO are with H854 PART-2MS thee , and with H854 W-PART all H3605 NMS other : thus she was reproved H3198 .
17 So Abraham H85 prayed H6419 W-VTY3MS unto H413 PREP God H430 NAME-4MP : and God H430 EDP healed H7495 Abimelech H40 , and his wife H802 CFS-3MS , and his maidservants H519 ; and they bore H3205 children .
18 For H3588 CONJ the LORD H3068 EDS had fast closed up H6113 all H3605 NMS the wombs H7358 NMS of the house H1004 of Abimelech H40 , because H5921 PREP of Sarah H8283 Abraham H85 \'s wife H802 CFS .
