Jonah 1:1 (IRVTA) Indian Revised Version - Tamil

1 {யோனா யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து விலகி ஓடுதல்} PS அமித்தாயின் மகனாகிய யோனாவுக்குக் யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை உண்டாகி, அவர்:
2 நீ எழுந்து பெரிய நகரமாகிய நினிவேக்குப் போய், அதற்கு எதிராகப் பிரசங்கம் செய்; அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமம் என்னுடைய சந்நிதியில் வந்து எட்டினது என்றார்.
3 அப்பொழுது யோனா யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து விலகி, தர்ஷீசுக்கு ஓடிப்போவதற்கா எழுந்து, யோப்பாவுக்குப் போய், தர்ஷீசுக்குப்போகிற ஒரு கப்பலைக்கண்டு, கட்டணம் செலுத்தி, தான் யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து விலகும்படி, அவர்களோடு தர்ஷீசுக்குப் போகக் கப்பல் ஏறினான்.
4 யெகோவா கடலின்மேல் பெருங்காற்றை அனுப்பினார்; அதினால் கடலிலே கப்பல் உடையுமளவிற்கு பெரிய கொந்தளிப்பு உண்டானது.
5 அப்பொழுது கப்பற்காரர்கள் பயந்து, அவனவன் தன்தன் தெய்வங்களை நோக்கி வேண்டுதல்செய்து, பாரத்தைக் குறைப்பதற்காக கப்பலில் இருந்த சரக்குகளைக் கடலில் எறிந்துவிட்டார்கள்; யோனாவோ கப்பலின் கீழ்த்தளத்தில் இறங்கிப்போய்ப் படுத்துக்கொண்டு, ஆழ்ந்து தூங்கினான்.
6 அப்பொழுது மாலுமி அவனிடம் வந்து: நீ தூங்கிக் கொண்டிருக்கிறது என்ன? எழுந்திருந்து உன்னுடைய தெய்வத்தை நோக்கி வேண்டிக்கொள்; நாம் அழிந்துபோகாமலிருக்க உன்னுடைய தெய்வம் ஒருவேளை நம்மை நினைத்தருளுவார் என்றான்.
7 அவர்கள் யாரால் இந்த ஆபத்து நமக்கு வந்ததென்று நாம் தெரிந்துகொள்ள சீட்டுப்போடுவோம் வாருங்கள் என்று ஒருவரோடொருவர் சொல்லிக்கொண்டு சீட்டுப்போட்டார்கள்; யோனாவின் பெயருக்குச் சீட்டு விழுந்தது.
8 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: யாரால் இந்த ஆபத்து நமக்கு வந்ததென்று நீ எங்களுக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டும்; உன் தொழில் என்ன? நீ எங்கேயிருந்து வருகிறாய்? உன் தேசம் எது? நீ என்ன ஜாதியான் என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
9 அதற்கு அவன்: நான் எபிரெயன்; கடலையும் பூமியையும் உண்டாக்கின பரலோகத்தின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரிடம் பயபக்தியுள்ளவன் என்றான்.
10 அவன் யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து விலகி ஓடிப்போகிறவன் என்று தங்களுக்கு அறிவித்ததினால், அந்த மனிதர்கள் மிகவும் பயந்து, அவனை நோக்கி: நீ ஏன் இதைச் செய்தாய் என்றார்கள்.
11 பின்னும் கடல் அதிகமாகக் கொந்தளித்துக்கொண்டிருந்ததால், அவர்கள் அவனை நோக்கி: கடல் நமக்காக அமைதியாகும்படி நாங்கள் உனக்கு என்ன செய்யவேண்டும் என்று கேட்டார்கள்.
12 அதற்கு அவன்: நீங்கள் என்னை எடுத்து கடலிலே போட்டுவிடுங்கள்; அப்பொழுது கடல் அமைதியாக இருக்கும்; என்னால்தான் இந்தப் பெரிய கொந்தளிப்பு உங்கள்மேல் வந்ததென்பதை நான் அறிவேன் என்றான்.
13 அந்த மனிதர்கள் கரைசேருவதற்காக வேகமாகத் தண்டுவலித்தார்கள்; ஆனாலும் கடல் மிகவும் மும்முரமாகக் கொந்தளித்துக் கொண்டேயிருந்ததால் அவர்களால் முடியாமற்போனது.
14 அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் யெகோவாவை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டு: ஆ யெகோவாவே, இந்த மனிதனுடைய ஜீவனுக்காக எங்களை அழித்துப்போடாதிரும்; குற்றமில்லாத இரத்தப்பழியை எங்கள்மேல் சுமத்தாதிரும்; தேவரீர் யெகோவா; உமக்குச் சித்தமாக இருக்கிறபடி செய்கிறீர் என்று சொல்லி,
15 யோனாவை எடுத்துக் கடலிலே போட்டுவிட்டார்கள்; கடல் தன்னுடைய மும்முரத்தைவிட்டு அமைதியானது.
16 அப்பொழுது அந்த மனிதர்கள் யெகோவாவுக்கு மிகவும் பயந்து, யெகோவாவுக்குப் பலியிட்டுப் பொருத்தனைகளைச் செய்தார்கள்.
17 யோனாவை விழுங்குவதற்காக ஒரு பெரிய மீனை யெகோவா ஆயத்தப்படுத்தியிருந்தார்; அந்த மீனின் வயிற்றிலே யோனா இரவுபகல் மூன்றுநாட்கள் இருந்தான். PE

2 Arise H6965 VQI2MS , go H1980 VQI2MS to H413 PREP Nineveh H5210 LFS , that great H1419 D-AFS city H5892 D-GFS , and cry H7121 W-VQI2MS against H5921 PREP-3FS it ; for H3588 CONJ their wickedness H7451 CFS-3MP is come up H5927 VQQ3FS before H6440 L-CMP-1MS me .
3 But Jonah H3124 EMS rose up H6965 W-VQY3MS to flee H1272 L-VQFC unto Tarshish H8659 LFS-3FS from the presence H6440 ML-CMP of the LORD H3068 EDS , and went down H3381 W-VQY3MS to Joppa H3305 LFS ; and he found H4672 W-VQY3MS a ship H591 NFS going H935 VQQ3FS to Tarshish H8659 LFS : so he paid H5414 W-VQQ3MS the fare H7939 CMS-3FS thereof , and went down H3381 W-VQY3MS into it , to go H935 L-VQFC with H5973 PREP-3MP them unto Tarshish H8659 LFS-3FS from the presence H6440 ML-CMP of the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
4 But the LORD H3068 W-EDS sent out H2904 VHQ3MS a great H1419 AFS wind H7307 NMS into H413 PREP the sea H3220 D-NMS , and there was H1961 W-VQY3MS a mighty H1419 AMS tempest H5591 NMS in the sea H3220 BD-NMS , so that the ship H591 WD-NFS was like H2803 VPQ3FS to be broken H7665 L-VNFC .
5 Then the mariners H4419 D-NMP were afraid H3372 W-VQY3MP , and cried H2199 W-VQY3MP every man H376 NMS unto H413 PREP his god H430 CMP-3MS , and cast forth W-VHY3MP the wares H3627 D-NMP that H834 RPRO were in the ship H591 BD-NFS into H413 PREP the sea H3220 D-NMS , to lighten H7043 L-VHFC it of M-PREP-3MP them . But Jonah H3124 W-EMS was gone down H3381 VQQ3MS into H413 PREP the sides H3411 CFS of the ship H5600 D-NFS ; and he lay H7901 W-VQY3MS , and was fast asleep H7290 W-VNY3MS .
6 So the shipmaster H7227 AMS came H7126 W-VQY3MS to H413 PREP-3MS him , and said H559 W-VQY3MS unto him , What H4100 IPRO meanest thou , O sleeper H7290 VNPMS ? arise H6965 VQI2MS , call H7121 VQI2MP upon H413 PREP thy God H430 CMP-2MS , if so be H194 ADV that God H430 D-NMP will think H6245 VHY3MS upon us , that we perish H6 VQY1MP not H3808 W-NPAR .
7 And they said H559 W-VQY3MP every one H376 NMS to H413 PREP his fellow H7453 NMS-3MS , Come H1980 VQI2MP , and let us cast H5307 W-VHI1CP lots H1486 NMP , that we may know H3045 W-VQI1CP for whose cause H7945 B-IPRO-I this H2063 D-DFS evil H7451 D-AFS is upon us . So they cast H5307 W-VHY3MP lots H1486 NMP , and the lot H1486 D-NMS fell H5307 W-VQY3MS upon H5921 PREP Jonah H3124 EMS .
8 Then said H559 W-VQY3MP they unto H413 PREP-3MS him , Tell H5046 D-VHI2MS-3FS us , we pray thee H4994 IJEC , for whose cause H834 B-RPRO this H2063 D-DFS evil H7451 D-AFS is upon us ; What H4100 IPRO is thine occupation H4399 CFS-2MS ? and whence H370 WM-ADV comest H935 VQY2MS thou ? what H4100 IPRO is thy country H776 NFS-2MS ? and of what H335 W-IPRO people H5971 NMS art thou H859 PPRO-2MS ?
9 And he said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-3MP them , I H595 PPRO-1MS am a Hebrew H5680 TMS ; and I H589 PPRO-1MS fear H3372 the LORD H3068 EDS , the God H430 CDP of heaven H8064 D-NMD , which H834 RPRO hath made H6213 VQQ3MS the sea H3220 D-NMS and the dry H3004 D-NFS land .
10 Then were the men H376 exceedingly H1419 AFS afraid H3372 W-VQY3MP , and said H559 W-VQY3MP unto H413 PREP-3MS him , Why H4100 IPRO hast thou done H6213 VQQ2MS this H2063 DPRO-3FS ? For H3588 CONJ the men H376 knew H3045 VQQ3MP that H3588 CONJ he H1931 PPRO-3MS fled H1272 VQPMS from the presence H6440 ML-CMP of the LORD H3068 EDS , because H3588 CONJ he had told H5046 VHQ3MS them .
11 Then said H559 W-VQY3MP they unto H413 PREP-3MS him , What H4100 IPRO shall we do H6213 VQY1MP unto thee , that the sea H3220 D-NMS may be calm H8367 W-VQY3MS unto H5921 M-PREP-1MP us ? for H3588 CONJ the sea H3220 D-NMS wrought H1980 VQPMS , and was tempestuous H5590 W-VQPMS .
12 And he said H559 W-VQY3MS unto H413 PREP them , Take me up H5375 VQI2MP-1MS , and cast me forth H2904 W-VHQ3MS-1MS into H413 PREP the sea H3220 D-NMS ; so shall the sea H3220 D-NMS be calm H8367 W-VQY3MS unto H5921 M-PREP-2MP you : for H3588 CONJ I H589 PPRO-1MS know H3045 VQPMS that H3588 CONJ for my sake H7945 B-PREP-1MS this H2088 D-PMS great H1419 D-AMS tempest H5591 D-NMS is upon H5921 PREP-2MP you .
13 Nevertheless the men H376 rowed H2864 W-VQY3MP hard to bring H7725 L-VHFC it to H413 PREP the land H3004 D-NFS ; but they could H3201 VQQ3MP not H3808 W-NPAR : for H3588 CONJ the sea H3220 D-NMS wrought H1980 VQPMS , and was tempestuous H5590 W-VQPMP against H5921 PREP-3MP them .
14 Wherefore they cried H7121 W-VQY3MP unto H413 PREP the LORD H3068 EDS , and said H559 W-VQY3MP , We beseech thee H4994 IJEC , O LORD H3068 EDS , we beseech thee H577 IJEC , let us not H408 NPAR perish H6 VQI1MP for this H2088 D-PMS man H376 D-NMS \'s life H5315 B-CFS , and lay H5414 VQY2MS not H408 ADV upon H5921 PREP-1MP us innocent H5355 AMS blood H1818 NMS : for H3588 CONJ thou H859 PPRO-2MS , O LORD H3068 EDS , hast done H6213 VQQ2MS as H834 K-RPRO it pleased H2654 VQQ2MS thee .
15 So they took up H5375 W-VQY3MP Jonah H3124 EMS , and cast him forth H2904 W-VHY3MP-3MS into H413 PREP the sea H3220 D-NMS : and the sea H3220 D-NMS ceased H5975 W-VQY3MS from her raging H2197 M-VQFC-3MS .
16 Then the men H376 D-NMP feared H3372 W-VQY3MP the LORD H3068 EDS exceedingly H1419 AFS , and offered H2076 W-VQY3MP a sacrifice H2077 NMS unto the LORD H3068 L-EDS , and made H5087 W-VQY3MP vows H5088 NMP .
17 Now the LORD H3068 EDS had prepared H4487 W-VPY3MS a great H1419 AMS fish H1709 NMS to swallow up H1104 L-VQFC Jonah H3124 EMS . And Jonah H3124 EMS was H1961 W-VQY3MS in the belly H4578 B-CMP of the fish H1709 D-NMS three H7969 NFS days H3117 NMP and three H7969 NFS nights H3915 NMP .
