Philippians 4:1 (AMP) Amplified Bibles

1 THEREFORE, MY brethren, whom I love and yearn to see, my delight and crown (wreath of victory), thus stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.
2 I entreat and advise Euodia and I entreat and advise Syntyche to agree and to work in harmony in the Lord.
3 And I exhort you too, my genuine yokefellow, help these two women to keep on cooperating, for they have toiled along with me in the spreading of the good news (the Gospel), as have Clement and the rest of my fellow workers whose names are in the Book of Life.
4 Rejoice in the Lord always delight, gladden yourselves in Him; again I say, Rejoice! Ps. 37:4.
5 Let all men know and perceive and recognize your unselfishness (your considerateness, your forbearing spirit). The Lord is near He is coming soon.
6 Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God.
7 And God's peace shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things fix your minds on them.
9 Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.
10 I was made very happy in the Lord that now you have revived your interest in my welfare after so long a time; you were indeed thinking of me, but you had no opportunity to show it.
11 Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.
12 I know how to be abased and live humbly in straitened circumstances, and I know also how to enjoy plenty and live in abundance. I have learned in any and all circumstances the secret of facing every situation, whether well-fed or going hungry, having a sufficiency and enough to spare or going without and being in want.
13 I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency.
14 But it was right and commendable and noble of you to contribute for my needs and to share my difficulties with me.
15 And you Philippians yourselves well know that in the early days of the Gospel ministry, when I left Macedonia, no church (assembly) entered into partnership with me and opened up a debit and credit account in giving and receiving except you only.
16 For even in Thessalonica you sent me contributions for my needs, not only once but a second time.
17 Not that I seek or am eager for your gift, but I do seek and am eager for the fruit which increases to your credit the harvest of blessing that is accumulating to your account.
18 But I have your full payment and more; I have everything I need and am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent me. They are the fragrant odor of an offering and sacrifice which God welcomes and in which He delights.
19 And my God will liberally supply (fill to the full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever (through the endless eternities of the eternities). Amen (so be it).
21 Remember me to every saint (every born-again believer) in Christ Jesus. The brethren (my associates) who are with me greet you.
22 All the saints (God's consecrated ones here) wish to be remembered to you, especially those of Caesar's household.
23 The grace (spiritual favor and blessing) of the Lord Jesus Christ (the Anointed One) be with your spirit. Amen (so be it).

2 I beseech G3870 V-PAI-1S Euodias G2136 N-ASF , and G2532 CONJ beseech G3870 V-PAI-1S Syntyche G4941 N-ASF , that they be of the same mind G5426 V-PAN in G1722 PREP the Lord G2962 N-DSM .
3 And G2532 CONJ I entreat G2065 V-PAI-1S thee G4571 P-2AS also G2532 CONJ , true G1103 A-VSM yokefellow G4805 A-VSM , help G4815 V-PMM-2S those women G846 P-DPF which G3748 R-NPF labored with G4866 V-AAI-3P me G3427 P-1DS in G1722 PREP the G3588 T-DSN gospel G2098 N-DSN , with G3326 PREP Clement G2815 N-GSM also G2532 CONJ , and G2532 CONJ with other G3062 A-GPM my G3450 P-1GS fellow laborers G4904 A-GPM , whose G3739 R-GPM names G3686 N-NPN are in G1722 PREP the book G976 N-DSF of life G2222 N-GSF .

5 Let your G3588 T-NSN moderation G1933 A-NSN be known G1097 V-APM-3S unto all G3956 A-DPM men G444 N-DPM . The G3588 T-NSM Lord G2962 N-NSM is at hand G1451 ADV .
6 Be careful G3309 V-PAM-2P for nothing G3367 A-ASN ; but G235 CONJ in G1722 PREP every thing G3956 A-DSN by prayer G4335 N-DSF and G2532 CONJ supplication G1162 N-DSF with G3326 PREP thanksgiving G2169 N-GSF let your G3588 T-APN requests G155 N-APN be made known G1107 V-PPM-3S unto G4314 PREP God G2316 N-ASM .

11 Not G3756 PRT-N that G3754 CONJ I speak G3004 V-PAI-1S in respect of G2596 PREP want G5304 N-ASF : for G1063 CONJ I G1473 P-1NS have learned G3129 V-2AAI-1S , in G1722 PREP whatsoever state G3739 R-DPM I am G1510 V-PXI-1S , therewith to be G1511 V-PXN content G842 A-NSM .
12 I know G1492 V-RAI-1S both how to be abased G5013 V-PPN , and G2532 CONJ I know G1492 V-RAI-1S how to abound G4052 V-PAN : every where G3956 A-DSM and G2532 CONJ in G1722 PREP all things G3956 A-DPM I am instructed G3453 V-RPI-1S both G2532 CONJ to be full G5526 V-PPN and G2532 CONJ to be hungry G3983 V-PAN , both G2532 CONJ to abound G4052 V-PAN and G2532 CONJ to suffer need G5302 V-PPN .

14 Notwithstanding G4133 ADV ye have well G2573 ADV done G4160 V-AAI-2P , that ye did communicate with G4790 V-AAP-NPM my G3588 T-DSF affliction G2347 N-DSF .
15 Now G1161 CONJ ye G5210 P-2NP Philippians G5374 N-VPM know G1492 V-RAI-2P also G2532 CONJ , that G3754 CONJ in G1722 PREP the beginning G746 N-DSF of G3588 T-GSN the G3588 T-GSN gospel G2098 N-GSN , when G3753 ADV I departed G1831 V-2AAI-1S from G575 PREP Macedonia G3109 N-GSF , no G3762 A-NSF church G1577 N-NSF communicated G2841 V-AAI-3S with me G3427 P-1DS as concerning G1519 PREP giving G1394 N-GSF and G2532 CONJ receiving G3028 N-GSF , but G1508 ye G5210 P-2NP only G3441 A-NPM .

17 Not G3756 PRT-N because G3754 CONJ I G3588 T-ASN desire G1934 V-PAI-1S a gift G1390 N-ASN : but G235 CONJ I G3588 T-ASM desire G1934 V-PAI-1S fruit G2590 N-ASM that may abound G4121 V-PAP-ASM to G1519 PREP your G5216 P-2GP account G3056 N-ASM .
18 But G1161 CONJ I have G568 V-PAI-1S all G3956 A-APN , and G2532 CONJ abound G4052 V-PAI-1S : I am full G4137 V-RPI-1S , having received G1209 V-ADP-NSM of G3844 PREP Epaphroditus G1891 N-GSM the G3588 T-APN things G3588 T-APN which were sent from G3844 PREP you G5216 P-2GP , an odor G3744 N-ASF of a sweet smell G2175 N-GSF , a sacrifice G2378 N-ASF acceptable G1184 A-ASF , well G2101 A-ASF - pleasing to God G2316 N-DSM .
19 But G1161 CONJ my G3450 P-1GS God G2316 N-NSM shall supply G4137 V-FAI-3S all G3956 A-ASF your G5216 P-2GP need G5532 N-ASF according G2596 PREP to his G3588 T-ASM riches G4149 N-ASM in G1722 PREP glory G1391 N-DSF by G1722 PREP Christ G5547 N-DSM Jesus G2424 N-DSM .
