Revelation 14:1 (AMP) Amplified Bibles

1 THEN I looked, and behold, the Lamb stood on Mount Zion, and with Him 144,000 men who had His name and His Father's name inscribed on their foreheads.
2 And I heard a voice from heaven like the sound of great waters and like the rumbling of mighty thunder; the voice I heard seemed like the music of harpists accompanying themselves on their harps.
3 And they sang a new song before the throne of God and before the four living creatures and before the elders of the heavenly Sanhedrin. No one could learn to sing that song except the 144,000 who had been ransomed (purchased, redeemed) from the earth.
4 These are they who have not defiled themselves by relations with women, for they are pure as virgins. These are they who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These are they who have been ransomed (purchased, redeemed) from among men as the firstfruits for God and the Lamb.
5 No lie was found to be upon their lips, for they are blameless (spotless, untainted, without blemish) before the throne of God.
6 Then I saw another angel flying in midair, with an eternal Gospel (good news) to tell to the inhabitants of the earth, to every race and tribe and language and people.
7 And he cried with a mighty voice, Revere God and give Him glory (honor and praise in worship), for the hour of His judgment has arrived. Fall down before Him; pay Him homage and adoration and worship Him Who created heaven and earth, the sea and the springs (fountains) of water.
8 Then another angel, a second, followed, declaring, Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She who made all nations drink of the maddening wine of her passionate unchastity idolatry. Isa. 21:9.
9 Then another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a mighty voice, Whoever pays homage to the beast and his statue and permits the beast's stamp (mark, inscription) to be put on his forehead or on his hand,
10 He too shall have to drink of the wine of God's indignation and wrath, poured undiluted into the cup of His anger; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. Gen. 19:24.
11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no respite (no pause, no intermission, no rest, no peace) day or night--these who pay homage to the beast and to his image and whoever receives the stamp of his name upon him. Isa. 34:10.
12 Here comes in a call for the steadfastness of the saints the patience, the endurance of the people of God, those who habitually keep God's commandments and their faith in Jesus.
13 Then I heard further perceiving the distinct words of a voice from heaven, saying, Write this: Blessed (happy, to be envied) are the dead from now on who die in the Lord! Yes, blessed (happy, to be envied indeed), says the Spirit, in that they may rest from their labors, for their works (deeds) do follow (attend, accompany) them!
14 Again I looked, and behold, I saw a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud One resembling a Son of Man, with a crown of gold on His head and a sharp scythe (sickle) in His hand. Dan. 7:13.
15 And another angel came out of the temple sanctuary, calling with a mighty voice to Him Who was sitting upon the cloud, Put in Your scythe and reap, for the hour has arrived to gather the harvest, for the earth's crop is fully ripened. Joel 3:13.
16 So He Who was sitting upon the cloud swung His scythe (sickle) on the earth, and the earth's crop was harvested.
17 Then another angel came out of the temple sanctuary in heaven, and he also carried a sharp scythe (sickle).
18 And another angel came forth from the altar, the angel who has authority and power over fire, and he called with a loud cry to him who had the sharp scythe (sickle), Put forth your scythe and reap the fruitage of the vine of the earth, for its grapes are entirely ripe.
19 So the angel swung his scythe on the earth and stripped the grapes and gathered the vintage from the vines of the earth and cast it into the huge winepress of God's indignation and wrath.
20 And the grapes in the winepress were trodden outside the city, and blood poured from the winepress, reaching as high as horses' bridles, for a distance of 1,600 stadia (about 200 miles). Joel 3:13.

2 And G2532 CONJ I heard G191 V-AAI-1S a voice G5456 N-ASF from G1537 PREP heaven G3772 N-GSM , as G5613 ADV the voice G5456 N-ASF of many G4183 A-GPN waters G5204 N-GPN , and G2532 CONJ as G5613 ADV the voice G5456 N-ASF of a great G3173 A-GSF thunder G1027 N-GSF : and G2532 CONJ I G3588 T-NSF heard G191 V-AAI-1S the voice G5456 N-NSF of harpers G2790 N-GPM harping G2789 V-PAP-GPM with G1722 PREP their G3588 T-DPF harps G2788 N-DPF :
3 And G2532 CONJ they sung G103 V-PAI-3P as it were G5613 a new G2537 A-ASF song G5603 N-ASF before G1799 ADV the G3588 T-GSM throne G2362 N-GSM , and G2532 CONJ before G1799 ADV the G3588 T-GPN four G5064 A-GPN beasts G2226 N-GPN , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-GPM elders G4245 A-GPM : and G2532 CONJ no man G3762 A-NSM could G1410 V-INI-3S learn G3129 V-2AAN that song G5603 N-ASF but G1508 the G3588 T-ASF hundred and forty and four thousand G5505 A-NPF , which were redeemed G59 V-RPP-NPM from G575 PREP the G3588 T-GSF earth G1093 N-GSF .
4 These G3778 D-NPM are G1526 V-PXI-3P they which G3739 R-NPM were not G3756 PRT-N defiled G3435 V-API-3P with G3326 PREP women G1135 N-GPF ; for G1063 CONJ they are G1526 V-PXI-3P virgins G3933 N-NPF . These G3778 D-NPM are G1526 V-PXI-3P they which follow G190 V-PAP-NPM the G3588 T-DSN Lamb G721 N-DSN whithersoever G3699 ADV he goeth G5217 V-PAS-3S . 6 And G2532 CONJ I saw G1492 V-2AAI-1S another G243 angel G32 N-ASM fly G4072 V-PNP-ASM in G1722 PREP the midst of heaven G3321 N-DSN , having G2192 V-PAP-ASM the everlasting G166 A-ASN gospel G2098 N-ASN to preach G2097 V-AAN unto them that dwell G2730 on G1909 PREP the G3588 T-GSF earth G1093 N-GSF , and G2532 CONJ to every G3956 A-ASN nation G1484 N-ASN , and G2532 CONJ kindred G5443 N-ASF , and G2532 CONJ tongue G1100 N-ASF , and G2532 CONJ people G2992 N-ASM ,
7 Saying G3004 V-PAP-NSM with G1722 PREP a loud G3173 A-DSF voice G5456 N-DSF , Fear G5399 V-AOM-2P God G2316 N-ASM , and G2532 CONJ give G1325 V-2AAM-2P glory G1391 N-ASF to him G846 P-DSM ; for G3754 CONJ the G3588 T-NSF hour G5610 N-NSF of G3588 T-GSF his G3588 T-GSF judgment G2920 N-GSF is come G2064 V-2AAI-3S : and G2532 CONJ worship G4352 V-AAM-2P him G3588 T-ASM that G3588 T-ASM made G4160 V-AAP-DSM heaven G3772 N-ASM , and G2532 CONJ earth G1093 N-ASF , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-ASF sea G2281 N-ASF , and G2532 CONJ the fountains G4077 N-APF of waters G5204 N-GPN .
8 And G2532 CONJ there followed G190 V-AAI-3S another G243 A-NSM angel G32 N-NSM , saying G3004 V-PAP-NSM , Babylon G897 N-NSF is fallen G4098 V-2AAI-3S , is fallen G4098 V-2AAI-3S , that great G3173 A-NSF city G4172 , because G3754 she made all nations drink G4222 V-RAI-3S of G1537 PREP the G3588 T-GSM wine G3631 N-GSM of G3588 T-GSM the G3588 T-GSM wrath G2372 N-GSM of G3588 T-GSF her G3588 T-GSF fornication G4202 N-GSF .
9 And G2532 CONJ the third G5154 A-NSM angel G32 N-NSM followed G190 V-AAI-3S them G846 P-DPM , saying G3004 V-PAP-NSM with G1722 PREP a loud G3173 A-DSF voice G5456 N-DSF , If any man G1536 worship G4352 V-PAI-3S the G3588 T-ASN beast G2342 N-ASN and G2532 CONJ his G3588 T-ASF image G1504 N-ASF , and G2532 CONJ receive G2983 V-PAI-3S his mark G5480 N-ASN in G1909 PREP his G3588 T-GSN forehead G3359 N-GSN , or G2228 PRT in G1909 PREP his G3588 T-ASF hand G5495 N-ASF ,
10 The same G846 P-NSM shall G2532 CONJ drink G4095 V-FDI-3S of G1537 PREP the G3588 T-GSM wine G3631 N-GSM of G3588 T-GSM the G3588 T-GSM wrath G2372 N-GSM of God G2316 N-GSM , which is poured out G2767 V-RPP-GSM without mixture G194 A-GSM into G1722 PREP the G3588 T-DSN cup G4221 N-DSN of G3588 T-GSF his G3588 T-GSF indignation G3709 N-GSF ; and G2532 CONJ he shall be tormented G928 V-FPI-3S with G1722 PREP fire G4442 N-DSN and G2532 CONJ brimstone G2303 N-DSN in the presence G1799 ADV of G3588 T-GPM the G3588 T-GPM holy G40 A-GPM angels G32 N-GPM , and G2532 CONJ in the presence G1799 ADV of G3588 T-GSN the G3588 T-GSN Lamb G721 N-GSN :
11 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM smoke G2586 N-NSM of G3588 T-GSM their G3588 T-GSM torment G929 N-GSM ascendeth up G305 V-PAI-3S forever and ever G1519 PREP : and G2532 CONJ they have G2192 V-PAI-3P no G3756 PRT-N rest G372 N-ASF day G2250 N-GSF nor G2532 CONJ night G3571 N-GSF , who worship G4352 V-PAP-NPM the G3588 T-ASN beast G2342 N-ASN and G2532 CONJ his G3588 T-ASF image G1504 N-ASF , and G2532 CONJ whosoever G1536 receiveth G2983 V-PAI-3S the G3588 T-ASN mark G5480 N-ASN of G3588 T-GSN his G3588 T-GSN name G3686 N-GSN .
12 Here G5602 ADV is G2076 V-PXI-3S the patience G5281 N-NSF of G3588 T-GPM the G3588 T-GPM saints G40 A-GPM : here G5602 ADV are they that keep G5083 V-PAP-NPM the G3588 T-APF commandments G1785 N-APF of God G2316 N-GSM , and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-ASF faith G4102 N-ASF of Jesus G2424 N-GSM .
13 And G2532 CONJ I heard G191 V-AAI-1S a voice G5456 N-GSF from G1537 PREP heaven G3772 N-GSM saying G3004 V-PAP-GSF unto me G3427 P-1DS , Write G1125 V-AAM-2S , Blessed G3107 A-NPM are the G3588 T-NPM dead G3498 A-NPM which G3588 T-NPM die G599 V-PAP-NPM in G1722 PREP the Lord G2962 N-DSM from henceforth G534 : Yea G3483 PRT , saith G3004 V-PAI-3S the G3588 T-NSN Spirit G4151 N-NSN , that G2443 CONJ they may rest G373 V-AMS-3P from G1537 PREP their G3588 T-GPM labors G2873 N-GPM ; and G1161 CONJ their G848 works G2041 N-NPN do follow G190 V-PAI-3S them G846 P-GPM .
14 And G2532 CONJ I looked G1492 V-2AAI-1S , and G2532 CONJ behold G2400 V-2AAM-2S a white G3022 A-NSF cloud G3507 N-NSF , and G2532 CONJ upon G1909 PREP the G3588 T-ASF cloud G3507 N-ASF one sat G2521 V-PNP-ASM like unto G3664 A-ASM the Son G5207 N-DSM of man G444 N-GSM , having G2192 V-PAP-NSM on G1909 PREP his G3588 T-GSF head G2776 N-GSF a golden G5552 A-ASM crown G4735 N-ASM , and G2532 CONJ in G1722 PREP his G3588 T-DSF hand G5495 N-DSF a sharp G3691 A-ASN sickle G1407 N-ASN .
15 And G2532 CONJ another G243 A-NSM angel G32 N-NSM came G1831 V-2AAI-3S out of G1537 PREP the G3588 T-GSM temple G3485 N-GSM , crying G2896 V-PAP-NSM with G1722 PREP a loud G3173 A-DSF voice G5456 N-DSF to him that sat G2521 V-PNP-DSM on G1909 PREP the G3588 T-GSF cloud G3507 N-GSF , Thrust in G3992 V-AAM-2S thy G3588 T-ASN sickle G1407 N-ASN , and G2532 CONJ reap G2325 V-AAM-2S : for G3754 CONJ the G3588 T-NSF time G5610 N-NSF is come G2064 V-2AAI-3S for thee G4671 to reap G2325 V-AAN ; for G3754 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM harvest G2326 N-NSM of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF earth G1093 N-GSF is ripe G3583 V-API-3S .
16 And G2532 CONJ he that sat G2521 V-PNP-NSM on G1909 PREP the G3588 T-ASF cloud G3507 N-ASF thrust in G906 V-2AAI-3S his G3588 T-ASN sickle G1407 N-ASN on G1909 PREP the G3588 T-ASF earth G1093 N-ASF ; and G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSF earth G1093 N-NSF was reaped G2325 V-API-3S .
17 And G2532 CONJ another G243 A-NSM angel G32 N-NSM came G1831 V-2AAI-3S out of G1537 PREP the G3588 T-GSM temple G3485 N-GSM which G3588 T-GSM is in G1722 PREP heaven G3772 N-DSM , he G846 P-NSM also G2532 CONJ having G2192 V-PAP-NSM a sharp G3691 A-ASN sickle G1407 N-ASN .
18 And G2532 CONJ another G243 A-NSM angel G32 N-NSM came G1831 V-2AAI-3S out from G1537 PREP the G3588 T-GSN altar G2379 N-GSN , which had G2192 V-PAP-NSM power G1849 N-ASF over G1909 PREP fire G4442 N-GSN ; and G2532 CONJ cried G5455 V-AAI-3S with a loud G3173 A-DSF cry G2906 N-DSF to him that had G2192 V-PAP-DSM the G3588 T-ASN sharp G3691 A-ASN sickle G1407 N-ASN , saying G3004 V-PAP-NSM , Thrust in G3992 V-AAM-2S thy G3588 T-ASN sharp G3691 A-ASN sickle G1407 N-ASN , and G2532 CONJ gather G5166 V-AAM-2S the G3588 T-APM clusters G1009 N-APM of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF vine G288 N-GSF of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF earth G1093 N-GSF ; for G3754 CONJ her G3588 T-NPF grapes G4718 N-NPF are fully ripe G187 V-AAI-3P .
19 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSM angel G32 N-NSM thrust in G906 V-2AAI-3S his G3588 T-ASN sickle G1407 N-ASN into G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASF earth G1093 N-ASF , and G2532 CONJ gathered G5166 V-AAI-3S the G3588 T-ASF vine G288 N-ASF of G3588 T-GSF the G3588 T-GSF earth G1093 N-GSF , and G2532 CONJ cast G906 V-2AAI-3S it into G1519 PREP the G3588 T-ASM great G3173 A-ASM winepress G3025 N-ASF of G3588 T-GSM the G3588 T-GSM wrath G2372 N-GSM of God G2316 N-GSM .
20 And G2532 CONJ the G3588 T-NSF winepress G3025 N-NSF was trodden G3961 V-API-3S without G1854 the G3588 T-GSF city G4172 N-GSF , and G2532 CONJ blood G129 N-NSN came G1831 V-2AAI-3S out of G1537 PREP the G3588 T-GSF winepress G3025 N-GSF , even unto G891 PREP the G3588 T-GPM horse G2462 N-GPM bridles G5469 N-GPM , by the space of G575 PREP a thousand and six hundred G1812 A-GPM furlongs G4712 N-GPN .
